1^st Thursday is HERE and the CIPHER continues. The Culture Cipher is currently the longest running monthly Hip-Hop event in Newark, NJ. Each 1^st Thursday at The Lucky 7 Night Club (139 Park Avenue) top-of-the-food-chain MC’s, Producers, DJ’s, Graff Writers, Poets and Break Dancers join Bloggers, Graphic Artists, Videographers and Music Enthusiasts as the art form is displayed at it’s ultimate levels. JOIN THE CIRCLE March 1^st 8:00 p.m.

The March 1^st Takeover 2012 III event will be hosted by Grumpy Old Man “Long Awaited” and will feature recording artists: Push Buttinz (of M.O. fame), King Ra “Foot On They Necks V. l” Nocturnal (Former member of EPMD’s Hit Squad) and more. The night will include the much anticipated return of the Meet the Producers series orchestrated by the legendary Black 45 and sonic soundman A-Sharp will Disc Jockey for the evening. Admission is $10, doors open at 8 and the Open Mic starts at 9. The early birds get the best seats. Come in peace or as founder Dutch 40 would say, “If it’s not culture then it’s not in my cipher.”
